What Wellness Looks Like for the Women I Know

Share

Most of the women I know are carrying a lot. Teams, kids, parents, businesses, and somewhere at the bottom of the list, themselves.

I know that list well. I was 19 the first time my back gave out, and for a long time my own care came last. What changed things for me wasn't a big overhaul. It was finding a few things I could actually come back to.

So here's what I've seen work, for me and for the women around me:

  • Small and steady beats big and rare. A walk, a stretch, ten quiet minutes. Done often, they add up.
  • Rest is part of the work. The days I protect my recovery are the days I lead best.
  • Find your people. Wellness sticks when you do it alongside others who get it.
  • Let it fit your real life. If a routine only works on a perfect week, it doesn't work.

None of this is complicated. It just asks us to put ourselves on the list.

As you think about what that looks like for you, remember that your journey towards empowerment starts with informed, actionable choices. Let the power of wellness elevate your personal and professional life, and inspire change within your community.
